Greater Kennedy Plaza

Traverse collaborated with Union Studio Architects, Project for Public Spaces, the City of Providence, and other stakeholders to create a comprehensive plan for the enhancement of Kennedy Plaza, often considered the heart of Providence.

Engaging in design exploration with the consultant team and stakeholders, we provided guidance on site design, landscape architecture, and overall planning strategies toward realizing the goals of spurring economic development, increasing cultural opportunities, preventing crime, and creating an equitable space for all users. The end result was a thoughtfully conceived document for a unified vision for Kennedy Plaza, outlining steps for improvement and implementation.
