Traverse Landscape Architects, LLC seeks Landscape Designer for Providence, RI location.

Job Duties:

  • Put together full construction sets for landscape projects including hardscape improvements, playgrounds, courtyards, outdoor learning landscapes, greenspace and athletic fields.
  • Create construction details, layout and dimension plans, planting plans, sections elevations, and conceptual grading to be integrated into full construction sets.
  • Attend Site visits to review construction activities such as planting and installation of hardscape and landscape related features.
  • Information Gathering and Graphic Analysis: observing and recording natural, man-made and environmental conditions and synthesizing information into site analysis.
  • Create sketches to address questions during construction.
  • Prepare 2D and 3D digital renderings of plans of proposed plans and landscape improvements.
  • Create 3D models for interface with civil engineer and architect.
  • Create fly through models for presentation purposes.
  • Design planting and restoration planting plans.
  • Develop new landscape designs, graphics and contributing to the overall design and strategy of landscape projects.
  • Coordinate with civil, structural and environmental engineers as well as architects throughout the duration of projects.
  • Present new information, design graphics and ideas within project teams and to clients.
  • Create Construction Field reports and Site notes to be provided to ownership and the design team.
  • Work with product representatives to research, select and specify products.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Landscape Architecture and knowledge of:

  • AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Lumion, Land FX, Civil 3D, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Standard concepts, practices and procedure in the field including conceptual site design and graphic representation, 2D and 3D modeling, site grading and drainage design, hardscape and softscape design, construction documentation, urban and site planning principles and planting design and horticulture
  • Development and review of cost estimates

Up to 5% domestic travel to sites in the New England area.

Salary for this position is $68,250.
