American Locomotive Works

American Locomotive Works is a multi-phased, ten-acre historic renovation project on the west side of the City of Providence. Originally, the complex was a car manufacturing facility. With the assistance of Rhode Island Historic Preservation Tax Credits and visionary developers, the run-down complex was converted to office space and a restaurant with public waterfront access. Traverse assisted the developer in finalizing the landscape and improving select areas around the site to bring the entire campus up to the standards set out in the original plans, including an extension of the Urban Coastal Greenway.
