Medfield High School

Traverse worked with the Medfield School Department to inventory and analyze its existing athletic facilities and develop a master plan for maintaining and improving the quality of fields in the community. As indicated in the master plan, the first task was to replace the existing synthetic turf field and refurbish the existing track at Medfield High School. The new state-of-the-art, 80,000-square-foot facility has new turf with a shock pad, providing a safer surface for the athletes. Additionally, the field was designed with a coated sand infill to provide a firm, fast surface for an exceptional level of play.

Traverse assisted the Owner through an aggressive construction schedule to meet the client’s athletic needs with limited disruption. Traverse participated in numerous committee meetings and facilitated discussions regarding design and construction.
