New Home in Portsmouth

Traverse worked with the Owners and JPS construction on the landscape design for this newly constructed home. Overlooking the Sakonnet River, the goal of the new landscape was to take full advantage of the sweeping views and create spaces for outdoor dining, lounging and recreation. The home is terraced into the landscape and stone retaining walls were added to help fully integrate the home into the site and carve out useable green and patio spaces.

The Owners are avid tennis and pickleball players so Traverse worked with them to incorporate a pickleball court into the design. The new landscape is densely planted with coastal natives to create privacy from the street and provide a colorful backdrop for the patios and home.
